Aspire People Limited is actively seeking dedicated, compassionate, and resilient Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistants to join our team in St. Helens. This fulfilling full-time, temporary position involves providing essential support to children aged 4-14 years who have severe, profound, and complex learning and physical needs, including complex autism. Experience & Skills
We are seeking individuals with a calm, patient, and compassionate demeanor. Essential experience includes supporting children or adults with complex physical or learning needs. Candidates should possess an understanding of specific medical protocols such as PICA, PEG feeding, and epilepsy, and demonstrate confidence in assisting wheelchair users and providing personal care. The ability to diligently follow care plans and work effectively as a member of a close-knit team is crucial. Applicants must be able to provide a minimum of two professional references and either currently hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check. While previous school experience is valued, we equally recognize and appreciate relevant experience gained in care, healthcare, and other SEND-focused environments.
