Date Palm Worker / Farm Laborer

Key Responsibilities

Date Palm Care • Irrigation (manual or drip/flood monitoring), cleaning palm bases & weed removal • Fertilization (organic/chemical), pest & disease control (spraying/traps) • Seasonal tasks: pollination, pruning (Takreeb), cleaning dry/broken fronds • Bunch management & tying, bagging (Takyis), harvesting (Biser & Rutab) • Sorting & initial packaging by quality

General Farm Duties

Irrigation of other crops/trees; weeding, planting, seedling care • Assist in irrigation network upkeep; basic tool care & report breakdowns • Keep farm areas clean; assist technicians in repairs and projects

Work Conditions • Outdoor environment; climbing, lifting; longer hours in harvest season

Working Hours

• 8 to 12 hours/day (may vary)
